The business started with junk removal and scrap hauling — the kind of work nobody glamorizes but everybody needs. CJ did not just haul it. He learned what had value, what could be salvaged, what could be repurposed. He stacked assets. A trailer here. A piece of equipment there. Junk removal became yard care. Yard care became snow removal. Snow removal became equipment rental. He added party planning, custom wood signage — whatever the community needed, he figured out how to deliver. Every service feeds the next one. Every dollar gets reinvested. One man building an empire piece by piece, with his bare hands.

Through all of it, one thing has never changed. He drops Morgan off at school every morning. He picks her up every afternoon. She is seven now, and she is the reason the lights stay on late and the truck leaves early. CJ is not building CMI Group to impress anyone. He is building it so that one day, his daughter inherits something that took real work — something no one can take from her, because her name is already on it.
